HOUSES by the Sea
DOMa in collaboration with 'Kathimerini' presents a new periodical devoted to houses.
HOUSES periodical hosts projects from all over Greece, focusing on their relationship with the landscape. The first issue is dedicated to the Sea and includes recent built works as well as a historical archive from 1959 to 1973 of seaside residences.
The first issue was released with 'Kathimerini' on Sunday, July 3rd.
As mentioned in the periodical's editorial, the Architected space is the one that makes us feel something different, both with our senses and our mind. Flipping through the pages of the issue we discover projects that approach seaside living in new ways, introducing enriched meanings to a decades-old standard practice. A selection of refreshing examples, invites the reader to revisit, not only the seaside or the country, but also the permanent residence, and reconsider altogether the standard of living and the very orientation of our lives.
